8011 H22 aluminum foil is a partially annealed aluminum-iron-silicon alloy foil developed for packaging and converting applications that require more rigidity than fully annealed foil while retaining useful formability. It is particularly suitable for semi-rigid food containers, takeaway trays, bakery containers, formed packaging components and selected laminated packaging structures.
The product is available from 0.012 mm to 0.2 mm thickness with customized widths. Standard surface configurations can include bright and matte finishes, while transparent lacquer, colored coatings, printing, lamination and single- or double-side coating can be supplied according to the finished packaging structure.
H22 temper is strain hardened and then partially annealed to approximately quarter-hard strength. Compared with O temper, it provides greater rigidity for handling and forming, while remaining more formable than harder tempers such as H18. Final temper selection should be matched to the container geometry, foil thickness, stamping process and downstream converting requirements.

H22 temper offers greater stiffness than fully annealed O-temper foil while maintaining useful ductility for suitable stamping, drawing, flanging and container-forming processes. This balance makes it practical for semi-rigid packaging where the finished part must retain its shape after forming.
Continuous aluminum foil provides a strong barrier against water vapor, oxygen, light and external contamination. For very thin gauges, finished barrier performance also depends on pinhole level, converting damage, coating integrity and laminate construction.
Surface cleanliness and controlled winding are important for downstream printing, lacquering, adhesive lamination and heat-seal coating. Surface treatment and wettability requirements can be specified according to the converter's ink, lacquer and adhesive system.
8011 aluminum foil provides good resistance to normal atmospheric oxidation and is widely used as a barrier layer in food, household and industrial packaging. Suitability for direct product contact should be confirmed according to the coating system, packaged product and applicable market requirements.

H22 is approximately quarter hard after strain hardening followed by partial annealing. It offers a useful balance between rigidity and ductility and is commonly evaluated for food containers, trays and other formed packaging where shape retention is important.
O temper is fully annealed and provides substantially greater softness and flexibility. It is commonly selected for household foil and flexible laminate applications where the foil must conform easily and high rigidity is not required.
H18 is full hard and provides greater tensile strength with lower ductility. It is commonly selected for hard pharmaceutical PTP blister lidding and other flat lidding structures where rigidity, web stability and puncture behavior are more important than deep forming.
H24 is partially annealed to approximately half-hard condition and provides greater strength than H22. It can be evaluated for formed container applications where increased rigidity is required and the selected forming geometry remains compatible with the lower ductility.
8011 H22 is well suited to evaluation for takeaway food containers, bakery trays, ready-meal trays, airline catering containers and similar formed packaging. The required gauge should be selected according to container depth, flange geometry, embossing and stacking requirements.
8011 foil can be used as a base material for coated and laminated lidding structures for yogurt, cream, dairy products and other food packaging. The required temper, primer, printing surface and heat-seal lacquer should be selected according to the container substrate and sealing process.
8011 aluminum foil can function as the metallic barrier layer in suitable laminated structures for chocolate, confectionery, dry foods, sachets and industrial flexible packaging. Softer tempers may be preferable when very high flexibility is required.
8011 alloy is widely used in pharmaceutical packaging, but the correct temper depends on the package design. Hard PTP blister lidding commonly uses H18 rather than H22. Any pharmaceutical application should specify foil temper, gauge, pinhole limits, surface cleanliness, lacquer system and applicable regulatory documentation separately.
The alloy can also be converted into household, technical and industrial packaging structures where foil barrier performance, light weight and compatibility with coatings or laminates are required.
Clean and uniform foil surfaces can be prepared for suitable printing processes. Buyers should specify printing method, primer requirement, corona or surface-treatment requirement and target surface tension where ink adhesion is critical.
Foil can be laminated with paper, polymer films and other substrates to create barrier packaging structures. Adhesive system, foil surface condition and laminate curing requirements should be matched to the converter's process.
Heat-seal lacquer can be applied for compatible lidding applications. Seal temperature, dwell time, pressure, substrate type and required seal strength should be specified because these parameters determine finished sealing performance.
Transparent lacquer, gold-tone finishes and other colored coating options can be discussed for packaging applications requiring branded appearance or additional surface protection. Single- or double-side coating is available subject to the confirmed coating construction.
8011 H22 aluminum foil combines useful rigidity with forming capability for container, tray and packaging conversion. Thickness consistency, surface condition, winding quality and temper control can be specified according to the converter's press or production line.
For international supply programs, buyers can define the required gauge, width, roll diameter, core size, surface finish, coating or lamination requirement and export packing before order confirmation.
For technical recommendations or sample evaluation, provide your container type, forming depth, press process, thickness, width and downstream coating or lamination requirements.

Typical applications include formed food containers, takeaway trays, bakery trays, semi-rigid packaging and selected coated or laminated packaging structures where moderate rigidity and useful formability are required.
O temper is fully annealed and softer, providing greater flexibility. H22 is strain hardened and partially annealed to approximately quarter-hard strength, so it provides more rigidity while retaining useful formability.
Yes. H22 is commonly evaluated for semi-rigid food-container applications because it combines forming capability with better shape retention than soft foil. Final gauge and temper should be confirmed against the container geometry and press process.
Not typically. Hard PTP blister lidding commonly uses 8011-H18 because it requires higher rigidity and push-through behavior. Pharmaceutical foil specifications should be selected separately according to the finished package, coating and regulatory requirements.
Yes. Suitable surface preparation can support printing, lacquering and adhesive lamination. Required surface tension, primer and cleanliness should be specified according to the converter's ink or adhesive system.
Yes, compatible heat-seal coatings can be applied for suitable lidding structures. The container substrate, seal temperature, dwell time, pressure and required peel or seal strength should be provided before selecting the lacquer system.
Intact aluminum foil provides an excellent metallic barrier, but finished packaging performance can be affected by pinholes, forming damage, seals and laminate defects. Very thin gauges should therefore specify pinhole and finished-package barrier requirements where these are critical.
Bright and matte surfaces are available depending on gauge and rolling method. Transparent lacquer, colored finishes and additional coating treatments can also be discussed according to the packaging application.
Please provide application, temper, thickness, width, roll dimensions, core size, surface finish, printing or lamination requirements, coating requirements, quantity and destination country.
