Double-sided PE color coated aluminum coil is produced with polyester coating applied to both sides of a formable aluminum substrate. It is designed for products where the front and reverse surfaces both remain visible or require a finished protective coating, including cookware components, household-appliance panels, interior wall panels, ACP facings, display panels and furniture trim.
Available in 1060 and 3003 aluminum with O temper for suitable forming applications, the standard product range covers 0.2 mm to 1.5 mm thickness and 200 mm to 1600 mm width. Both sides can be produced in the same color or in different front-and-back colors, with high-gloss or matte PE finishes and optional protective film.
Standard PE polyester coating is intended primarily for indoor, appliance, decorative and mild-environment applications. Where direct food contact, demanding outdoor exposure or special chemical resistance is required, the exact coating system and applicable test requirements should be confirmed before production.

Applying decorative PE coating to both surfaces eliminates the unfinished reverse side found on many conventional single-face coated coils. This is useful for components where both faces remain exposed after forming or assembly.
Both surfaces can be produced in the same color for a uniform appearance, or different colors can be specified for the front and reverse sides. RAL references and approved physical samples can be used for color matching.
The standard coating specification is 23–30 μm on each side. Front and reverse coating thickness, color and gloss can be inspected separately to support consistent appearance for two-sided visible products.
Applying comparable coating systems to both sides can help reduce asymmetric coating stress compared with heavily coated one-side constructions. Final coil flatness still depends on substrate condition, coating build, curing parameters, slitting and downstream forming.
Protective film can be applied to both coated surfaces to reduce scratches, fingerprints and rubbing during slitting, stamping, bending, stacking and transportation. Film adhesion should be selected according to the downstream processing method and removal conditions.

1060-O provides high ductility and is suitable for applications requiring substantial material deformation, such as suitable cookware blanks, aluminum circles and deep-drawn decorative components.
For severe deep drawing, production trials should verify the interaction between substrate elongation, draw ratio, tooling, lubrication and coating flexibility before the final order is released.
3003 contains manganese and provides greater strength than commercially pure 1000-series aluminum while retaining useful formability in O temper. It can be selected for cookware components, appliance panels, decorative sheet-metal parts and other formed products requiring additional rigidity.
Aluminum base coil uncoiling → double-sided degreasing and circulating-water cleaning → two-side non-chromium pretreatment → hot-air drying → front and reverse primer roller coating → controlled curing → double-face PE topcoat application → secondary baking and cooling → optional protective-film lamination → rewinding → surface and coating-thickness inspection → export packaging.
Front and reverse coating thickness, color and surface quality can be monitored separately so that both visible surfaces meet the confirmed purchase specification.
The same RAL or approved custom color can be applied to both surfaces for products requiring a uniform appearance from either viewing direction. This configuration is suitable for double-sided panels, trims, cookware components and appliance parts.
Different colors can be specified on the front and reverse surfaces when the finished product has separate aesthetic or identification requirements on each side. Both color references should be approved before production.
PE polyester finishes can be produced in selected gloss levels. Front and reverse surfaces may require the same or different appearance standards depending on the finished product design.
1060-O and 3003-O can be specified for suitable drawing applications where both coated surfaces remain functional or visible after forming. Coating integrity depends on draw depth, blank diameter, tooling, lubrication and the specific coating formulation.
The material can be slit and blanked into circles, rectangular parts and custom sheet-metal components. Protective film can help reduce surface scratches during feeding and press operations.
Suitable coating systems can accommodate bending and edge forming when the minimum bend radius is matched to substrate thickness and coating flexibility. Tight bends should be evaluated before volume production.
1060-O or 3003-O double-coated material can be evaluated for stamped circles, cookware blanks, base discs and kitchen hardware where both sides require decorative or protective coating.
If either coated surface will directly contact food, the coating formulation and food-contact documentation must be confirmed according to food type, contact temperature, duration and destination-market requirements.
Applications include refrigerator panels, air-conditioner covers, equipment housings and decorative appliance components where both the interior and exterior surfaces remain visible after fabrication.
Double-face coated aluminum can be used for suitable indoor wall panels, partition systems, exposed trims and decorative sheet-metal elements where both sides require a finished appearance.
PE-coated aluminum can be used in suitable interior aluminum composite panel and decorative composite constructions. Lamination compatibility, adhesive system and required surface treatment should be confirmed with the panel-production process.
Dual-color or same-color coated aluminum can be fabricated into double-sided displays, indoor light-box components and decorative signage where the reverse surface also remains visible.
The material can be used for suitable cabinet facings, furniture metal veneers, partitions and trims requiring two finished decorative surfaces.
PE polyester is a practical coating choice for indoor decorative panels, appliances, furniture, cookware components and ACP applications where cost efficiency, color flexibility and normal indoor durability are priorities.
For severe UV exposure, coastal environments or long-term exterior architectural use, higher-durability coating systems such as HDP or PVDF should be evaluated rather than assuming standard PE provides equivalent weathering performance.
Both coated surfaces can be inspected separately according to the confirmed purchase specification. Typical inspection items include coating thickness, adhesion, color difference, gloss, surface appearance, dimensions and finished coil condition.

Yes. Both sides can use the same color or separate front-and-back colors. The required RAL references or physical samples should be approved before mass production.
1060-O and 3003-O can be specified for suitable forming applications. Final coating integrity depends on the draw ratio, component geometry, tooling, lubrication, substrate thickness and coating flexibility, so production trials are recommended for demanding parts.
A balanced coating build on both surfaces can help reduce asymmetric coating stress, but finished flatness also depends on incoming coil shape, curing conditions, slitting, blanking and forming. It should not be considered an absolute anti-warp guarantee.
Food-contact suitability depends on the exact coating formulation, food type, contact time, operating temperature and destination-market requirements. If either side will directly contact food, applicable test reports and use conditions should be confirmed before production.
Yes. Protective film can be applied to both surfaces where additional scratch protection is required during slitting, stamping, bending, stacking or transportation.
PE polyester is primarily suited to indoor and mild-service applications. For demanding UV, coastal or long-term exterior exposure, a higher-durability coating system should be evaluated according to the project environment.
High-gloss and matte PE finishes are available. Required front and reverse gloss levels should be included in the order specification when both surfaces are visually important.
The standard paper-core inner diameter is 76 mm. Other core sizes can be discussed according to the customer's decoiler and coil-weight requirements.
Please provide alloy, temper, thickness, width, front and back colors, coating thickness, gloss, core diameter, protective-film requirement, application, quantity and destination. Forming drawings are useful for deep-drawn or complex components.
