Diamond-patterned colour-coated embossed aluminium sheets are produced by using precision moulds to emboss diamond-shaped rhombic or prismatic raised and recessed textures on the surface of aluminium sheets, replicating the three-dimensional effect of diamond-cut surfaces. The spacing between the patterns typically ranges from 0.5 to 3 mm, with a depth of 0.1 to 0.3 mm. After embossing, the surface of the panels is coated with a coloured coating (such as polyester PE or fluorocarbon PVDF), imparting rich colour and protective properties.
The aluminium sheet is compressed between an upper roller (equipped with a textured die) and a lower roller, creating permanent textured patterns on the surface. Common texture depths range from 0.05 to 0.3 mm, with texture density and shape customisable according to specific requirements.
Common grades include 1060 (pure aluminium), 3003 (aluminium-manganese alloy), and 5052 (aluminium-magnesium alloy), with thicknesses ranging from 0.5 to 4.0 mm. The 3003 series is the most popular due to its high cost-effectiveness.
Parameter item | Common specifications |
Alloy | 1series(1050/1060/1100)3series (3003/3105) 5series (5052) |
Temper | H12, H14, H16, H18, O |
Thickness | 0.2-4.0mm (common 0.5-2.0mm) |
Width | 600-2000mm (commom 1000/1220/1500mm) |
Length | 500-6000mm (commom 2000/2440/3000mm) |
Features | Specific Performance | Application Value |
Anti-slip and wear-resistant | Surface friction coefficient is 30%-50% higher than that of smooth plates | Suitable for anti-slip applications such as stair treads, car pedals, industrial platforms, etc. |
High decorative appeal Strong three-dimensional texture, | can replace traditional anodising or spraying processes to create a metallic ‘orange peel’ decorative effect | Widely used in architectural facades, furniture panels, electronic product casings, and other decorative fields |
Defect concealment | Can hide minor scratches, roller marks, and other defects on the substrate surface, reducing requirements for the surface precision of the original plate | Suitable for projects with high surface quality requirements but limited budgets |
Fingerprint resistance | The textured surface reduces finger contact area, and combined with surface passivation treatment, effectively inhibits fingerprint residue. | Commonly used in kitchen equipment, elevator interiors, and other high-contact scenarios. |
Mechanical properties | After embossing, tensile strength increases by 10%-15%,but elongation decreases by approximately 5%-8%. | Suitable for scenarios requiring moderate structural strength, such as luggage frames and ventilation ducts. |
