Ding'ang coated aluminum manufacturing and converting

Custom Aluminum Converting & OEM Solutions

From Master Coil to a Production-Ready or Market-Ready Product

Custom Coating Slitting Cut to Length Film Embossing Blanks Mini Coils Private Label

Many buyers do not need another standard master coil. They need material that arrives in the correct width, length, weight, color, surface and package for the next operation—or a finished private-label product ready for distribution.

Ding'ang combines aluminum coating with converting and OEM-program development. Services can include color matching, custom coating, slitting, narrow strip, cut-to-length sheet, embossing, protective film, circles, blanks, small-coil programs, labels and export packing.

The objective is to remove unnecessary handling between the coating line and the customer’s factory, warehouse or sales channel.

Pre-painted aluminum coating production line

One Controlled Specification from Metal to Pack

When coating and conversion are purchased separately, problems can appear between suppliers: the film may not suit the coating, the slit edge may damage a roll former, the sheet pallet may not protect a high-gloss surface, or the retail label may show a nominal length that does not match the conversion tolerance.

A coordinated program can control:

  • Alloy, temper and incoming substrate
  • Paint system, color, gloss and texture
  • Front and reverse surfaces
  • Slit width, edge condition and winding
  • Sheet length, squareness and flatness
  • Embossed pattern and depth
  • Protective-film type and peel performance
  • Circle or blank geometry
  • Small-coil length or weight
  • Carton, label, barcode and pallet
  • Batch identification and repeat-order standard

Custom Converting Services

Custom color matching and coated aluminum

Custom Color Matching & Coating

Color can be developed from a RAL reference, Pantone reference, digital target or approved physical sample. The final approval should consider substrate, gloss, texture, lighting and forming.

Available coating routes can include PE, SMP, PVDF, FEVE, epoxy and project-specific functional systems, subject to performance requirements and line capability.

The visible side and reverse side may use different colors or coating functions.

Slit aluminum coil and narrow strip

Coil Slitting & Narrow Strip

Master coils can be slit into widths for gutters, shutters, louvers, channel letters, appliance components, heat exchangers, profiles and other roll-formed products.

The conversion specification should define:

Finished width and tolerance

Number of cuts

Edge burr limit

Camber requirement

Coil ID and maximum OD

Target coil weight

Winding direction

Splice allowance

Edge and surface protection

Cut-to-length aluminum sheet

Cut-to-Length Aluminum Sheet

Coated or mill-finish coil can be cut into sheets for panels, vehicle bodies, cabinets, signage, appliance parts and general fabrication.

Sheet programs can specify length, squareness, flatness, surface direction, protective film, interleaving and pallet construction.

Extra-wide or long sheets require a project review covering line capability, handling, flatness, lifting and transportation.

Protective film applied to coated aluminum

Protective Film Application

Protective film can reduce surface damage during slitting, cutting, routing, bending, lamination and assembly.

Film selection should consider:

Coating chemistry and surface texture

Gloss level

Forming temperature

Laser cutting, if applicable

Indoor or outdoor storage

Required removal period

Peel force

Risk of adhesive transfer

The customer should test the film through the complete production cycle before approval.

Embossed and surface-converted aluminum

Embossing & Surface Conversion

Aluminum can be supplied with stucco, orange-peel, diamond, patterned or application-specific embossed surfaces, subject to pattern and equipment capability.

Embossing may improve appearance, stiffness or handling, but it also changes thickness distribution, flatness and forming behavior. Pattern orientation and finished dimensions should be recorded.

Aluminum circles blanks and custom shapes

Circles, Blanks & Custom Shapes

Coil or sheet can be converted into circles and custom blanks for cookware, lids, signs, appliance parts and industrial components.

The drawing should define dimensions, tolerances, holes, burr, surface direction, film and packing. Complex shapes or secondary machining require a separate capability review.

Aluminum mini coil and small-coil programs

Mini Coil & Small-Coil Programs

Large coils can be converted into manageable coils for building trim, flashing, signage, workshops, retail distribution and service parts.

Programs may be defined by length, weight or both. The conversion and inspection method should state how each coil is measured and what tolerance applies.

Where small-coil conversion or retail packing uses an approved partner, the final website and quotation should describe the supply chain accurately.

OEM and private-label aluminum production and packing

OEM & Private-Label Packing

OEM programs can include customer branding, printed cartons, product labels, metric and imperial sizes, barcodes, color codes, instruction sheets and customized pallet patterns.

Trademark use, artwork approval, regulatory labeling and country-of-origin marking remain subject to the purchase agreement and target-market requirements.

General Capability Framework

The following values indicate the broad coated-aluminum platform. Each converting process has its own narrower capability window.

Parameter Development Range and Options
Aluminum alloys 1000, 3000 and 5000 series, selected according to application
General coated thickness Approximately 0.08–3.00 mm, subject to alloy, width and coating route
General coated width Approximately 100–2,650 mm; selected extra-wide vehicle projects may be evaluated beyond this range
Coating systems PE, SMP, PVDF, FEVE, epoxy and approved functional systems
Colors RAL, Pantone, physical sample, wood grain, stone grain, camouflage and decorative patterns
Surface Smooth, high gloss, matte, embossed, brushed, mirror or patterned
Coating sides One visible topcoat plus back primer, full double-side coating, or different front/reverse systems
Conversion Slitting, cut to length, film, embossing, circles, blanks and project-specific recoiling
Supply form Master coil, slit coil, narrow strip, mini coil, sheet, circle or custom blank
Packing Standard export pack, production-line pack, individual carton or OEM/private-label pack

Final feasibility depends on the combined alloy, temper, thickness, width, coating, quantity and conversion route.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ depends on alloy, thickness, width, color, coating system and conversion. A standard color and common substrate normally require less development than an exclusive color or complex private-label program.

Can you match an existing painted aluminum sample?

Yes. A clean physical sample is preferred when appearance must match an existing product. Color, gloss, texture and coating system should be approved together.

Can you slit coil to the exact width required by our machine?

Custom widths can be evaluated. Provide the finished-width tolerance, burr and camber limits, coil ID, weight and winding direction.

Can you supply very wide cut-to-length sheets?

Yes, subject to alloy, thickness, width, line capacity, flatness, sheet handling and transportation. Provide the exact size and maximum acceptable pallet weight.

Can every coating receive protective film?

Not automatically. Film adhesive must be compatible with the coating, texture, temperature and storage time. A full-process trial is recommended.

Can you produce private-label mini coils?

Mini-coil and OEM-packing programs can be evaluated according to dimensions, quantity, length or weight tolerance, carton design and conversion route.

Can one order include several colors and widths?

Yes, but production feasibility and MOQ must be reviewed by color, substrate, coating system and finished size. Standardizing substrate and coating structure can make a multi-SKU program more efficient.

Do you manufacture every converting step in-house?

The exact route depends on the product and capacity. Some operations may use qualified converting partners. The quotation and quality plan should clearly identify the responsible supply chain.
