Ambulance and medical-vehicle surfaces are expected to remain clean in appearance and withstand frequent washing. High-gloss or controlled-gloss white is common, while colored accents may be produced from an approved RAL, Pantone or physical sample.

Important specification points include sidewall width, bonding surface, coating flexibility, surface-cleaning requirement and protective-film behavior.

Interior and exterior skins face different conditions. Exterior surfaces require weather resistance, while interior surfaces may require cleanability, controlled gloss and resistance to moisture or approved cleaning agents. The two sides should therefore be specified separately.

Coated, embossed, brushed or decorative aluminum for ceilings, wall panels, luggage areas, partitions, doors and equipment housings.

Where flame, smoke or toxicity performance is required, compliance must be established for the finished material or complete assembly under the applicable transport standard. A general coating name alone does not establish compliance.

PVDF coated aluminum for marine and coastal vehicles

Marine & Coastal Aluminum

Coated aluminum for boat cabins, marine interior panels, service vessels, coastal vehicles and components operating in salt-laden environments.

Alloy, pretreatment, coating system and cut-edge protection should be selected together. Marine suitability should be confirmed through an application-specific specification and relevant corrosion testing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which aluminum alloy is commonly used for vehicle bodies?

AA5052 and AA5754 are common starting points for vehicle skins and panels. AA5083 may be considered for selected higher-strength or marine-related applications. Final selection depends on the panel structure, forming process and strength requirement.

Can Ding'ang supply aluminum wide enough for a complete RV sidewall?

Extra-wide coil and sheet can be evaluated up to the capability of the selected alloy, thickness, coating system and coil weight. Please provide the finished panel width and production-line limits.

Is PE coating suitable for vehicle exteriors?

PE is widely used for general vehicle-body and interior applications. PVDF or FEVE may be preferred when stronger long-term weathering performance is required. The correct system depends on climate, exposure and target service life.

Can the reverse side be prepared for adhesive bonding?

Yes. Back primer, service coating or another agreed reverse treatment can be evaluated. Bonding must be validated with the customer’s actual adhesive, core, temperature and production process.

Can you match our existing fleet color?

Color can be developed from a RAL reference, Pantone reference or approved physical sample. A production color standard should be retained for repeat orders.

Can material be supplied as cut-to-length extra-wide sheets?

Yes, subject to sheet dimensions, thickness, flatness requirement, cutting capability, handling and packing. Long or very wide sheets require a project-specific logistics review.

Do you supply flame-retardant material for bus or rail interiors?

Application-specific coating systems can be evaluated, but compliance must be confirmed against the required test standard and the final material or assembly. Please provide the exact fire, smoke and toxicity requirement.
