5005 aluminium alloy belongs to the aluminium-magnesium alloy series, with a low magnesium content. According to national standards, the magnesium content ranges from 0.5% to 1.1%. Among the 5 series alloys, it has relatively low strength but good toughness, making it suitable for bending and stretching.

5005 is a non-heat-treatable alloy with better corrosion resistance than pure aluminium in the 1 series. It has good anodising properties and can only be produced using hot rolling.

Temper	Description
O Temper	Annealed to the softest temper.
H32 Temper	Grain - hardened and stabilized to 1/4 hard.
Note: Alloy temper of 5005 include O, H12, H14, H16, H18, H22, H24, H26, H28, H32, H34, H36, H38, H112, H114 (for patterned plate), H42, H44, H46, H48 (H4X series are for colored aluminum plate).
