Prepainted aluminum circles are widely used as the base material for non-stick cookware, such as non-stick pans, soup pots, and woks. Their inherent properties and special coating design make them well-matched with the production and use requirements of non-stick cookware, and they are one of the mainstream materials in the non-stick cookware industry.
Non-stick cookware (especially pans and woks) requires the base material to have good deep drawing performance to form the curved pot body and pot bottom. Prepainted aluminum circles, usually made of 1050, 1060, or 1070 pure aluminum (O state, soft state), have excellent plasticity and ductility. They can be smoothly deep-drawn, spun, and formed without cracking or deformation, which fully meets the molding needs of non-stick cookware.
The coating of prepainted aluminum circles used for non-stick cookware is specially selected to meet food contact safety standards. Prepainted aluminum circles retain these advantages—cookware made from them is light and easy to handle, and can quickly conduct heat evenly, avoiding local overheating of food, which is consistent with the use needs of non-stick cookware (even heating to prevent food sticking).
The surface coating of prepainted aluminum circles has good corrosion resistance, which can prevent the aluminum base from being corroded by acidic and alkaline foods during use. At the same time, the smooth coating surface is not easy to adhere to oil stains and food residues, making the non-stick cookware easier to clean and maintain.
It is recommended to choose pure aluminum series (1050/1060/1070) with O state (soft state), which has the best deep drawing performance and is not easy to crack during the pot body forming process. For thickened non-stick cookware, 3003 manganese aluminum alloy (H14 state) can be selected to balance formability and hardness.
Prioritize food-grade epoxy coating or high-temperature resistant PE coating. The coating thickness should be controlled at 15-25μm to ensure good adhesion and high-temperature resistance (able to withstand the normal cooking temperature of 200-260℃ without peeling or falling off).
The surface of the prepainted aluminum circle should be smooth, free of scratches, burrs, and coating defects (such as pinholes, flow marks, and discoloration). The dimensional accuracy (thickness, diameter) should meet the requirements to ensure the consistency of the cookware molding and the flatness of the pot bottom.
Prepainted aluminum circles are completely suitable for making non-stick cookware, and have obvious advantages in formability, safety, thermal conductivity, and ease of cleaning. As long as the appropriate alloy, temper, and food-grade coating are selected, they can fully meet the production and use requirements of non-stick cookware, and are widely recognized and applied in the cookware industry.
