1. Product Overview

Our embossed aluminum sheet is a specialized thermal insulation material primarily engineered for automotive heat shield production. It adopts classic 1000 series pure aluminum alloys, including 1050, 1060 and 1100, paired with professional hemispherical embossing and anodizing/painting surface treatments. This material boasts exceptional workability and superior formability, which allows easy cutting, bending and deep drawing to fit various complex structural shapes. Featuring ultra-high thermal reflectivity, it can effectively reflect radiant heat up to 1090°C. With reliable high-temperature resistance and stable mechanical properties, it has become an ideal core material for automotive chassis thermal management systems, and is also widely applied in aerospace, electronic equipment and building insulation fields.

4. Main Application Fields

4.1 Automotive Industry

It is the mainstream material for automotive heat shields and plays a key role in vehicle thermal protection.

  • Engine Compartment: Installed around the engine to block and reflect intense radiant heat. It prevents vehicle wiring harnesses, pipelines and other vulnerable parts from high-temperature damage, effectively reducing circuit short circuits and equipment failures, and extending the service life of automotive components.

  • Exhaust System: Mounted near exhaust pipes to isolate high heat transfer to the car body and ground. It eliminates potential fire risks caused by high temperature, stabilizes the interior temperature and greatly improves driving comfort and safety.

5.1 Size & Shape Customization

The length can be customized from 1m to 10m, and the width ranges from 0.5m to 3m. Besides standard rectangles, we can produce circular, special-shaped and irregular sheets according to the installation contour. For example, customized sheets of 2.5m × 1.2m are available to match the internal space of vehicle engine compartments.

5.2 Embossing Pattern Customization

Apart from the standard hemispherical pattern, linear, grid and other geometric embossing patterns are optional. Customized patterns can be designed to enhance directional heat dissipation based on actual usage needs.

5.3 Material & Performance Customization

  • Thickness: The overall customizable thickness covers 0.1mm to 6mm. We recommend sheets above 2mm for scenarios requiring ultra-high heat resistance. Multiple alloy grades including 1050, 1060, 1100, 3003 and 5052 are selectable. Trace magnesium or silicon elements can be added to pure aluminum to boost strength and corrosion resistance.

  • Surface Treatment: Choose anodizing for higher surface hardness and corrosion resistance, or customized painting for exclusive color requirements.

  • Heat Reflectivity & Heat Resistance: Special surface coatings can be adopted to raise the heat reflectivity above 90% (up to 95%). Optimized formulas and production processes enable the material to withstand temperatures up to 1200°C.

5.4 Supplementary Thickness Classification

Combined with different alloys and application scenarios, the detailed thickness ranges are sorted as follows:

  1. 0.2mm - 1.8mm: Classic specification for 1050/1060/1100 sheets; corresponding coil thickness: 0.7mm - 1.5mm.

  2. 0.3mm - 3.5mm: Suitable for 1050A, 1070, 3003, 5052 and other alloy sheets and coils.

  3. 0.2mm - 2.0mm: Common specification for heat shield aluminum sheets with width 40mm - 1200mm and length 400mm - 1000mm.
