3005 H24 PVDF prepainted aluminum coil is designed for patio covers, canopies, awnings, pergola roof panels and other outdoor covering systems that require a lightweight aluminum substrate, stable roll-forming performance and a durable factory-applied exterior finish.
AA3005 aluminum in H24 temper provides a practical balance of rigidity and formability for compatible roofing and cover profiles. The material can be roll formed, bent, cut and fabricated into suitable corrugated, ribbed, standing-seam or project-specific patio-cover components.
For outdoor applications, PVDF coating can be selected where resistance to ultraviolet exposure, rain, humidity and long-term exterior weathering is important. Custom RAL colors, gloss levels, dimensions and coil specifications can be discussed according to the patio-cover design and forming equipment.

H24 is a strain-hardened and partially annealed condition that provides useful rigidity while retaining forming capability for compatible roofing profiles. This balance makes AA3005-H24 suitable for many roll-formed outdoor covering components.
AA3005 belongs to the aluminum-manganese alloy family and is used in coated building products where corrosion resistance, moderate strength and practical forming behavior are required.
The relatively low density of aluminum helps reduce the weight of patio-cover skins and roofing profiles. The complete structural frame and support system must still be designed for the required wind, snow and service loads.
Prepainted aluminum reaches the fabricator with the selected color and coating already applied, allowing compatible roof profiles to be roll formed without a separate post-forming painting process.
Discuss Your Patio Cover Profile
Patio covers and canopies are continuously exposed to sunlight. PVDF coating can be selected for exterior projects where improved resistance to ultraviolet exposure and long-term appearance retention are important requirements.
The aluminum substrate combined with a properly specified pretreatment and PVDF coating provides a practical material system for outdoor components exposed to rain and atmospheric moisture.
Color consistency is particularly important on visible patio-cover and canopy surfaces. Buyers should define the required RAL color, gloss and acceptable batch variation before production.
PVDF coating helps protect the pretreated aluminum surface from normal exterior atmospheric exposure. Actual coating selection should reflect climate, coastal exposure, pollution and expected maintenance conditions.
The “high impact” description for this product should be considered in relation to the coating-performance test rather than as a structural impact rating for the complete patio-cover system.
The existing coating data list an impact reference of 50 kg·cm without coating loss or cracking under the stated test condition. This test helps evaluate whether the coating remains attached to the aluminum substrate after localized deformation.
It should not be interpreted as hail, falling-object or structural impact certification for a finished patio roof. Finished-cover performance depends on sheet thickness, profile geometry, span, supports, fasteners and the complete structural design.
The following table preserves the coating-performance data from the existing product content. This patio-cover SKU is focused on PVDF coating; PE and other values are retained as general reference data for the wider prepainted aluminum product range. Final coating construction and test requirements should be confirmed in the purchase specification.

Patio-cover aluminum may be converted from flat coil into corrugated, ribbed, interlocking, standing-seam or other roof profiles. The starting thickness and width must match the developed profile required by the forming equipment.
Coating flexibility is important because the painted surface passes through multiple forming rolls and bends. The listed PVDF T-bend reference of up to 2T can be used as an initial coating-flexibility indicator, but a production trial should be completed for a new profile or tight bend geometry.
For automatic roll-forming lines, buyers should provide the required flat feed width, nominal thickness, profile drawing, coil inner diameter and maximum coil weight before ordering.
Ribs, corrugations and standing seams increase the geometric stiffness of a formed sheet compared with a flat skin. The required profile should be selected according to span, support spacing, drainage and the complete cover-system design.
Patio covers must provide appropriate slope and drainage according to the selected roof profile and local design requirements. The aluminum coil itself does not determine water tightness; joints, overlaps, flashings, sealants and installation details are also critical.
Outdoor aluminum panels expand and contract as temperature changes. Fastening and joint details should allow appropriate movement according to panel length and the complete patio-cover design.
The finished patio-cover structure should be engineered for the applicable local loads. Coil thickness should not be selected independently of roof profile, span, support system and fastening arrangement.

RAL colors can be discussed for patio covers that need to coordinate with windows, gutters, façades, pergola frames or other exterior building components.
Matte surfaces can provide a lower-reflection architectural appearance and are often considered where a subdued roof finish is preferred.
Gloss level can be selected according to the required appearance. Where several coils will be used on one visible roof, color and gloss should be checked against the approved project reference before installation.

Verify the aluminum thickness and flat feed width against the approved roof-profile drawing before loading a full coil onto the forming line.
Inspect the visible surface for scratches, dents, stains, coating defects and color variation that could remain visible after the patio-cover profile is formed.
For projects requiring several coils, compare each production lot against the approved color reference before roll forming to reduce visible differences between adjacent roof panels.
Check for edge wave, telescoping, damaged coil edges and other shape problems that could affect feeding through automatic roofing-profile equipment.
For a new thickness, PVDF system or roof profile, run a representative forming trial and inspect bend areas for coating cracking, peeling, whitening or surface damage before approving bulk production.
Provide the finished profile drawing or existing material specification. Corrugated, ribbed and standing-seam profiles can require different starting widths and bend conditions.
The listed product range is 0.20–2.00 mm. The correct thickness should be determined according to panel profile, span, support spacing and the patio-cover system design.
The listed product range is 100–1500 mm. Use the flat width required before roll forming rather than only the visible width of the finished roof panel.
Specify the required coating construction, film thickness, color, gloss and exterior-performance requirements. The detailed existing product specification references PVDF film thickness above 25 µm.
State whether the project is located in a normal urban, coastal, humid or otherwise demanding environment so the required coating and pretreatment can be reviewed.
Provide the equipment feed width, coil-core requirement, maximum coil weight and minimum forming radius where relevant.
Provide the required RAL color or an approved physical sample together with the desired gloss level. Physical sample approval is recommended for repeat architectural projects.
